Wadi Rum is a landscape defined by high geological and cultural relief. For generations, the ancestors of the Bedouin lived within these sandstone walls, their culture became shaped by the physical demands of this stunning surrounding. This series aims to capture the process of 'cultural modernization', expressed in the geographical term of 'denudation'. This series was captured during a documentary film project in the Wadi Rum desert. For this photograph, I watched a saw a man play some music by himself in a cool leather jacket. A picture that could have been taken at any point in the last centuries if not for the jacket.
