Frequently Asked Questions

by Framed Photo

Find quick answers about ordering, shipping, authenticity, and how things work for photographers. If you can’t find what you need, reach us at info@framed.photo.

For Collectors

Where do you ship?

We ship EU-wide. You’ll see available delivery options and estimated timing during checkout.

How are framed prints packed?

We treat every order like a gallery piece. Each framed print is checked, securely packed, and protected to reduce movement and help prevent damage during transport.

Will I receive tracking?

Yes. Once your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email and (where available) tracking details so you can follow your delivery.

What if my order arrives damaged?

If your framed print arrives damaged, contact us as soon as possible and include:

  • your order number
  • clear photos of the damage
  • photos of the packaging (inside and outside)

We’ll review it quickly and confirm the next steps, typically a replacement or another appropriate solution.

Can I return my order?

Because every piece is custom made to order (printed and framed specifically for you), we can’t accept standard returns or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect size selection, or personal preference after delivery.

What if there’s a production or quality issue?

If there’s an issue like the wrong artwork, incorrect size, framing problem, or print defects, let us know. We’ll assess it and arrange a fix; usually a reprint and/or reframing when needed.

Can I change my order after placing it?

Please double check your selections (artwork, size, frame choice, and shipping address) before completing your order. Since items go into production specifically for you, changes may not be possible once production has started.

Authenticity & Editions

How do I know the artwork is authentic?

We work directly with photographers and verify identity and work before it reaches the marketplace. You’re collecting real photography, not mass-produced stock imagery.

Do you include a Certificate of Authenticity?

Yes. Every (limited edition) framed photograph comes with an official Certificate of Authenticity, detailing the edition (if applicable), origin, and production details.

Are works limited edition?

Photographers can choose to sell a photograph as limited edition or open edition. If limited, the edition size is fixed and will not be increased.

For Photographers

Who can join Framed.Photo?

Anyone who cares about their photography and wants it to live as framed art. No gatekeeping, no portfolio reviews; just real work made with intent.

Do you review portfolios or require followers / gallery representation?

No. We don’t run portfolio reviews, and you don’t need representation, a long resumé, or a big audience.

What files do you accept?

  • High-resolution, print-ready files (recommended at least 24MP)
  • TIFF (preferred) or high-quality JPEG
  • sRGB color space for consistent print results

Do you accept AI-generated images?

No. Only real photography. No AI-generated work no exceptions.

What are the registration requirements?

You can join either as:

  • a registered freelancer/business within the EU, or
  • an individual

How is the price determined?

The photographer sets the artwork price. We don’t take a percentage of your art’s value.

How do fees work?

We use a transparent system:

  • A base price covers what we handle (printing, framing, packaging, delivery, and the platform)
  • You choose the markup
  • Everything beyond the base is yours

How do I earn money and track sales?

Each sale pays your share directly to you. You’ll have a dashboard to track:

  • sales as they happen
  • editions sold / remaining
  • earnings
  • performance by size
  • sales history over time

Can I sell my work elsewhere?

Yes. Framed.Photo doesn’t require exclusivity. The only rule: if you set a limited edition, the edition numbers stays fixed.
