What It Takes to Join Framed.Photo

One of the things I’ve always liked most about Framed.Photo is how open it is. This isn’t an exclusive club. You don’t need gallery representation, a long resumé, or thousands of followers. If you care about your photography, really care about it, then you belong here. That’s the only bar that truly matters to us.

That said, there are a few practical things you’ll need to join:

The Basics

• Print quality files: Your images need to be high-resolution and print-ready. We recommend files at least 12MP (megapixels). DPI depends on print size, so we don’t set a fixed number.
• File format: We accept TIFF or high-quality JPEGs. TIFF is preferred for maximum print quality, but it’s not required.
• Color space: Files should be in sRGB for consistent print results.
• Upscaling: Some formats may not allow for very large prints. That’s okay, smaller sizes often work beautifully. If needed, we can upscale one size up with AI, but only with your approval. We’ll never touch your file without permission.

Requirements

• Registration: There are two options, you can be registered as a freelancer/business within the EU or as an individual. If you already are registered as a business, perfect. If not, you can also join as an individual.
• Authenticity: Only real photography. We don’t allow AI-generated work, no exceptions. As the world moves deeper into AI-driven creation, we want to make sure authentic moments still have a place.
• Legal boundaries: All submitted work must comply with EU law. Sensitive work is welcome if created with intent and care.

What We Don’t Do

• We don’t run portfolio reviews.
• We don’t gatekeep on style or genre.
• We don’t judge who’s “in” or “out.”

We welcome a broad range of photography including documentary, portrait, landscape, analog, and experimental. As long as it is real, yours, and made with purpose, it belongs here.

The door is open to anyone, but the standard is real. You just need to bring your best work, ready to be lived with. From there, we take care of showing it, printing it, and delivering it the way it should be: a clear, simple path from your work to the people who want to live with it.
